Write a Compelling 30-Second Commercial About Yourself

Write a Compelling 30-Second Commercial About Yourself

by DeVore Design, February 24, 2020

Debra Traverso, a marketing consultant, says Realtors should create 30-second message to let prospects know who they are and what they do. They should deliver a distinct and memorable message that motivates prospects to work with them.

To this end, a 30-second message should feature the Realtor’s name, company’s name, products and services offered, clientele served, and why they’re different from their competitors. And once their unique positioning is settled, the message should be frequently repeated. It’s widely believed in marketing that prospects must hear a message seven times before they believe or remember it.

It is also essential to answer the listener’s unspoken question: “Why should I do business with you rather than your competitors?”

As a Realtor hands over their business card, for instance, they could say: “If you want an agent who will be accessible, then I’m the one. I have a unique find-me-follow-me number that allows you to reach me anytime you need to. It’s the only number you’ll need.”

A special program could also be an important differentiator. For instance, they might say, “After we’ve found the perfect house for you, I provide you with a unique four-step program to acclimate you to the neighborhood. My program drastically cuts your learning curve to become familiar with the community.”
