Buyers’ search online to maximize their ability to compare and contrast homes by selected features, and most of their searching is done before they connect with a real estate agent.
Social media is also important, but it’s not just about having a Facebook page – buyers are looking at homes on Instagram and other platforms, too. And it’s not just about a traditional website. Most buyers today use their phones to search for homes, which means websites need to be mobile optimized.
In today’s digital age, the most important part of marketing homes is photos according to 87% of buyers who cite them as “the most valuable feature.” That’s followed by detailed property information and floorplans.
Realtors may have an opportunity to set themselves apart by showing property floorplans, along with the other identifying information, in online listings.
