To stand out from the crowd, social media can be a natural extension not only of a Realtor’s brand, but also their website. Social media is a good avenue for sharing blog posts and content hosted on that site, maximizing website visitors.

Social media tools, especially paid social media marketing, can help Realtors target specific audiences, such as those with specific interests and demographics.

Once you’ve dialed in your targeted audience, you can begin using social media for real estate to build trust and authority within that audience in a number of innovative ways. This can include offering valuable content and focusing on neighborhood data like schools, employment opportunities, or dining and entertainment options.

Real estate professionals also can use live streaming videos to showcase properties in a virtual open house or as an off-the-cuff inside peek of homes up for sale. During the video walkthrough, be sure to add plenty of colorful commentary to keep your viewers engaged, elaborating on neighborhood details and unique properties of the home to up the interest.

Several other tips for social media use include running giveaways and contests based on a theme to drum up visibility and build a contact list.

Another great way to use social media marketing for your real estate business is to showcase your level of social consciousness, especially when it comes to your close ties to the community. Some ideas include organizing or sponsoring local charity events and then sharing these events on social media.
