The new DJI Osmo is a great new tool to shoot stabilized video without the need for heavy, cumbersome, manual stabilizers such as the Glidecam. The included camera is capable of providing suitable results for most situations, but the ability to upgrade the camera really makes the DJI Osmo a viable tool for commercial video production. Most impressive, it’s priced at $649. The included camera shoots 4K @ 24/25/30 FPS and 1080P @ 24/25/30/60/120 FPS. The upgraded X5 camera is an additional $2,100. The X5 offers significantly higher dynamic range with a micro 4/3 sensor. Kits with extra batteries and different handles are roughly $250.
