The best and worst big cities to live in

by DeVore Design, August 3, 2015

If you’re a city boy or city girl, then WalletHub has the list for you — the top 20 best cities to live in. Bonus, look down your nose at (or start planning to move out of) their list of the 20 worst big cities.

“Large cities owe this growing interest to several major trends: downtown areas are becoming increasingly livable, lifestyle preferences are changing and demographics are shifting,” WalletHub says in a release.

People look to the cities despite the higher cost of square footage, the challenges of public school systems, and other trade offs because they like the hustle and bustle of city life, the greater job opportunities and more diverse entertainment and nightlife options.

With all that in mind, WalletHub compared the attractiveness of all the large cities in the U.S. in terms of livability, the quality of their health and education systems, economic growth and tax rates.

Here’s what they found, and here’s a link to the full study.
