Commercial REALTORS® Working to Restore Communities

When thinking of a REALTOR®, most think of someone who helps a buyer find or sell a home. However, they can also help those looking for an office space, somewhere to open up a new local business, or the right spot for a large manufacturing business. The National Association of REALTORS® commercial members help people every day realize their business dreams and help create stronger communities. And while some REALTORS® are part-time, most commercial REALTORS® (82 percent) work at least 40 hours a week and the average commercial REALTOR® has 25 years of real estate experience (20 years of commercial experience). All that hard work and decades of experience pays off—the median gross annual income for commercial REALTORS® was $126,900 in 2014, an increase from $96,200 in 2013. Those figures demonstrate growth in the commercial real estate market over the last few years and lots of work by commercial REALTORS® in revitalizing communities hurt by the last economic downturn.
