Construction to begin on large assisted-living facility in Lady Lake

by DeVore Design, June 26, 2017

Construction is slated to start this summer on an assisted living and memory care facility with 125 units in Lady Lake.

Forum Architecture & Interior Design Inc. completed design work on Village Veranda at Lady Lake, which is planned for the east side of State Road 441, just north of Hartsock Sawmill Road.

With 117,500 square feet, the project is expected to include 100 assisted-living units in a three-story building and 25 units in a one-story section designated for memory-care patients. The project will include offices, amenities, dining areas, and courtyards.

Village Veranda enters an increasingly competitive residential sector with assisted-living projects planned and under construction throughout Central Florida, including projects in Avalon Park, Altamonte Springs and Winter Garden.

The Gordon Companies, based out of Orlando, selected Core Construction as design-build managers. The design team includes: Forum as architect and interior designer, Structural Concepts & Design LLC as structural engineer, MiGre Engineers LLC as MEP engineer, Wicks Engineering Inc. as civil engineer, and LPG Urban and Regional Land Planners Inc. as landscape architects. SRI Management will operator.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Forum Architecture & Interior Design stated the project was awaiting permit approval.
